Hi all, well after a wonderful time down south it was back to Three Springs for granparent time. Now as you can see, it was bath time. We reckon after 25,000klm on the bike and numerous capers that this pair have gotten up to it was definitely time.
Hmmm thinking this tub malarkey is a bit of alright Lil Tiger is giving Tuppence the once over as well
Wasn't expecting this , sheesh hung out to dry like old piece of rag, well at least I'm not upside down like Tuppy hahahaha
Come on Granma, you do it like this
Look granma, granpa, I'm nearly walking.
Cute as buttons the pair of them
All to soon and we are off again, this time north to Geraldton.
Diney's birthday brunch.
We have no puppy to look after here because sadly Friday (the puppy) died a few weeks before we got here, she was very old too.
We do have some goldfish to look after though which was nearly a disaster!
We went for a look down in the town to find some coffee. Well we found some pretty ordinary coffee and these wings on the wall which were cool so Diney had to get in on that picy
When we got back home we find this pair of ratbags up to no good.
Yay had some granparent time while we were there as well which was great.
Love these little guys xxx
Time get out and explore the countryside but we need to head down into town first to grab a couple of things and then we were going to head to a really old pub called the Hampton Arms. Parked Tigger in town and that was it, Tigger refused to start.
Was a wee heart attack in the battery department. Shit now what, well there are still some good people in the world and a couple who were parked in front of us took us up to the battery shop where a new battery was organised then ran us back to Tigger and then came back 10 minutes later to make sure every thing was ok.
Abandoned plans for the day and headed back home so I could plug the computer in and check all was ok and make sure it was the battery and not something more sinister. wooohoooo. It was definitely the battery, hey it's a cool yellow as well.
We got to the Hampton Arms the next day and what a great place. A quick search on google will tell you all about it. The weirdest part about it was we had the best ever lentil patties, yeah yeah it's not a mistake, we had lentil patties for lunch and they were delicious
Bloody tree hugging hippie hahaha
Pog and Tuppence found some new friends and Diney went for a wade in the Greenough River.
2 days later and there was shit load of water running down here.
Mandatory visit to an old cemetery
And a visit to an old house turned into a museum, quite interesting but the two hole dunney was priceless
After trying several coffee establishments we came across Skeetas, now this is what we're talking about, goooooood coffee, great views, really nice ambiance (hehe that one is for you Sissy) and great staff, needless to say we went back on numerous occasions.
Our next adventure was to a place called Tin Heads, you think you have a good collection of tins. well think again, the owners were funny as with lots of stories, great hour and half spent there.
We then headed further north to a place called Port Gregory and what they call the Pink Lake.
Basically it is a pink salt lake and in the right light conditions it takes on this amazing pink hue
Some where along the way Tigger clocked over the 150,000klm mark.
Back to Skeetas for our last afternoonsies. Our time in Geraldton has come to an end. We are heading down to Perth for a return to Tapping and our favourite puppy Honey for 2 days then Tigger is going into the bike shop for a health check and a few fix it up jobs
Does the wind blow in Geraldton, holy shit does it ever.
This is how the trees grow up here and no they haven't fallen over!
Heading to Perth from Geraldton in 40 degree heat is not that comfortable. We are having a break here at Cataby but we also stopped at Eneabba for fuel and had a great time helping a couple of girls sort out a swag of 5 day old pups and mum and two other dogs they had just rescued from bad owners. Well done girls for doing the dog rescue. The puppies were so cute as well.
So there we have it folks, we are safe and sound in Tapping and looking forward to the next leg of our journey, that one involves lots of hours in a jet plane, but more on that later.
Till then take care one and all, chase your dreams with everything you have.
Love to all
