Well folks here we go again, as I'm writing this we are in Tapping which is a suburb 20 minutes north of Perth, but lets catch up a wee bit. If you remember from our last update....... of course you remember.......... don't you........well anyway we have been down south in Albany, a long sit of 2 months which we loved with great puppies. We really liked Albany and would be happy to go back down there again.
Some nice riding down there, met up with this bunch and we headed out to Mt. Barker and Happy's Cafe for a warm up coffee and would you believe, the Harley parked next to Tigger has a 180,000ks on the clock. Great ride and a great bunch of folks, lots of laughs.
Puppies were always happy when we were home with them.
We were told to head out to a place where this guy does chainsaw wood carvings and it was simply amazing
This is only a tiny part of what was there, walking around the path you had to look everywhere, in the bush, up in the trees, highly recommend a visit and a gold coin donation.
We found our way up the war memorial and had a look around, a very interesting place to visit and the views are amazing
And of course coffee was the order of the day
Dineys new helmet arrives, her old one was well past it's use by date. Now there is a whole chapter here about getting a new helmet. This one was bought online from MCA (Motorcycle Accessories Supermarket) in Sydney, they sent it over free of charges as well. Full story on trying to buy a new helmet for Diney will be up on our wilkydiney.id.au website soon.
The helmet fitted perfectly, was over a kilo lighter than the old one and over all a smaller helmet
Out and about to try out the helmet, decided to go whale watching up at the wind farm, no whales but plenty of dolphins playing in the surf and a glorious day
Finally convinced that the new helmet is good and the old helmet was bad but Diney was still reluctant to throw it out, something like "but it's like throwing an old and loved friend in the rubbish" sheesh girl just drop it in........ come on drop it........ bloody hell just drop it and close the lid hahahaha
While we were there they had the round the town classic car races and it was brilliant and lots of fun to watch. Loved watching this old fletcher race around the track. Car show as well with some sweet cars on show but this one took the cake, an immaculate restoration with a very big twist, it had a rotary motor in it
Back home and this was a common occurrence, the puppies are only playing thank goodness cause that is a big gob full of sharp teeth
More jigsaw puzzles, this one was good fun to do. Thanks P&P
And Bella thought this piece was rather tasty, oops.
This one on the other hand was a shit of thing to do and
This next one was a bug ger to do but lots of fun
The puppies are at it again hahaha but this wrestling is hard work, thank goodness for the couch.
Getting out and about was always good and taking the puppies to the beach was always good fun
Ahhhhh but life is so strenuous and the sun is nice and warm and that tickle under the chin an...............zzzzzzzzzzzz
Bit of time up my sleeve and the fact that it has been raining for several days make me think, need to service front forks. Whipped the forks out and drained out what was once oil but now..... well who knows.
New oil in dem dar forks and oh boy did it make a difference. It felt superb to ride again. Note to self, don't leave it so long next time.
This Laughing Dove was nesting in the back yard. Was fascinating to watch mum and dad coming and going and then suddenly the baby was fully grown and flew the nest.
And our time is up and we are ready to fly the nest as well. Load up Tigger, hand the house back to the owners, say good bye to the puppies and we are off to Denmark for a night stopover
Not much to Denmark but the river was magical and this boat name was brilliant hahaha
Left Denmark and headed to Stoneville for an overnight with the beautiful Pearl and Paul and Pogstar was most intrigued with the gnomes that were sitting on the bikes (when we got there) and was beside himself with joy when he met the new love of his life Caroline.
Back to 3 Puddles and blimey what a difference a bit of rain makes. When we headed south 2 months earlier everything was dry, brown and dead. On our return everything was green and wet.
No time to reflect on that, we need to get started again on the veranda and the car port. Josh has been busy building frames so lets get them up.
After all the hard work it's time to go fill the the trailer with wood for the bonfire and then relax and warm the toes
All ways fun with these ratbags
Funny thing here folks, Tigger was out in a torrential downpour and things got a bit damp. Parked up under the veranda because I was going to pack a bit of gear onto it for our departure the next day. A bit later on Chonny comes in and tells me I have left a headlight on. Ah no, that is not possible, key is not in ignition, it is in my pocket. But well hang on, there is a headlight on...... Well fuck me and how the fuck was said numerous times. Had to pull the head light fuse to make it go away
Lots of rain so when there is a break what do you do, you jump in muddy puddles of course
Ok, next morning we are off again, this time down to Tapping. Load bike, put fuse back in and headlight comes on......... no no no you are not supposed to do that. Anyway off we go, next stop is Bindoon , our usual coffee stop over and had to pull the fuse again. After coffee, plug fuse back in and off we go, get to our next house, park in the garage, pull the fuse and will look at it later.
So when later came guess what, plugged the fuse back in and the light didn't come on, well I'll be fucked!!!! And it hasn't played up since.
Remember Honey, she is our favourite most loved Basset Hound. Well she is the only Basset we have looked after but we still love her to bits. She is 30kg of mischief, stubbornness and fun. Now the pic here with Honey running and Diney trying to keep up is quite rare indeed.
You see when a 30kg Basset says enough and just stops dead and lays down, well you just enjoy the break because remember stubbornness, need I say more hahaha
A trip to the dog beach though turned out to be a surprise. Reckon we walked a kilometre along the beach and she sniffed and trotted along all the way without a thats it I've had enough. woooohoooo
There you have it folks, from Tapping we head down to Busselton for a month for a re-sit which we are looking forward to catching up with the puppies and the folks.
So take care and enjoy it to the max, what ever it is.
Cheers
