Well folks the world is still mad and things don't look like they are going to change in a hurry, in fact I would almost say it is going to get worse before it gets better, what with conspiracy theories and plain dumb people doing really dumb shit.
Anyway the intrepid gypsies have been pretty quiet, just staying home, house sits came to a standstill because people could not go any where and when most of the internal border/zones were finally opened not to many people were all that keen. For the most part nothing really affected us, we could not go south but we had no need too either so no problems there and we could go north as far as Geraldton which was ok because that's were we do most of the shopping.
Our special thanks to Josh and Chonny and the wee ones for putting up with us for this extended time, love you guys xxx
As I say been quiet here so I will bang up some pics with minimal words
Ok maybe a few words, spent a bit of time at the workshop helping mate Zac work on his bus, good fun and lots of laughs. Some valuable help from Sven and Christoff, especially sorting out the rear brake on Tigger
Speaking of Tigger the lock down was a good opportunity to do some overdue maintenance. New wheel bearings, new rear disc, re bleed the brakes with fresh fluid, replaced some buggered vacuum lines and fuel tank fittings and a good clean up.
mmmm rear brake works, wooohooo
horn conked out so a visit up to the local car grave yard and a horn that worked was bolted on to Tigger, now we have a lovely loud tootoot
In between working on buses and Tigger, there were pushbikes and mini bikes and quad bikes to be fixed
and moths to be cared for and great big hugs for dad after being away working for a couple of weeks
Most restrictions are liffted so it was time for a ride and our first coffee out in like 8 weeks, it was delicious and oh so smooooooooooth. Oh we are in a place called Dongara, about an hour and a half away
A birthday cake to make and eat
and just general goings on when you are in lock down Picnics under the cubby house and getting a garden planted
Time for some us time so a ride up to Kalbarri was the order of the day, about three and a half hours north and on the coast. Had some wonderful breakfasts, played around in a paddle boat and went on a sunset cruise and went to the just opened skywalk, a very relaxing few days
and then all to soon it is home time. We stopped in Northampton for breakfast, 2 choices, The Shearing Shed or Wrens. Had heard about the Shearing Shed, supposed to be the best vanilla slices around, but a totally uninviting place to sit and have breakfast so over the road we go to Wrens and it was a ripper. Nice spot to have a beautiful breakfast. We did buy a vanilla slice to take home from over the road seeing as they are famous. Well sorry people it was shit and we both had a piece and threw it out
Back home and it's bubble time then we are of to Perth for a weekend with the girls at Karinup Waters. Lots of fun but yours truly got crook so was a bit quiet, did get in the pool with the girls though, middle of winter and all, that's being tough and dedicated ............ oh and they were heated haha I'm not that silly
not that pool ........ this pool
Ah the golden locks, oh all right then, the grey locks, well I decided long hair was giving me the shits and it is way to hard to look after, with our busy schedule and stuff soooooooooo
who's a pretty boy then
the first carrot harvest from the garden wooohoooo, we have spinach and lettuce growing nicely now and the girls love picking both straight from the garden and eating it, can't ask for better than that
There you have it folks, all things being equal and the world staying silly we will be starting our next house sit in a couple of weeks time. Really looking forward to getting back into the swing of things but we have really enjoyed time out through lock down. So who knows were we will be at the next update. Every one stay safe, stay healthy and live for the moment because none of us know what is around the corner.
Till next time
Luvs you all xxx
