Hey all you good folks out there in wonder land, so what has been happening since last time, well at present, as I write this we are in Penrith in NSW for Diney's mum's 95 birthday and to spend some time with her.
We left Tigger back in WA.
Now lets get back on track, last update we were in Tapping so we will continue our mad cap adventure from there.
Vernon, he's the vacuum cleaner, sounded a bit different one night so got out of bed to investigate and this is what I found hehehe
Found this one day walking Honey and thought it looked real cool
"Woof wooooooofy woof woof
Show me come on please come on woof woof woooooof"
No Honey, honestly, Fred Basset has not been in the cartoon pages for a long time
"hmmmm I think you are woofing me here"
"oh well I suppose I will just have to dream about being a cartoon character wooooof"
After a wonderful time with our favourite Honey we slipped over to Stoneville for two days to take care of our second family, here we have Milo and Bindi
Mouse and Kea
And Izzy
And our favourite boy Jack
and ............ well our motley crew and sweet Caroline,
I shall say no more here haha
Then it is time to head off again so on a very shitty cold wet and very windy day we headed to Busselton.
Now if you have been following our adventures you will recognise wee Chilli here. We looked after this crew a ways back.
and here we have the ever lovable but naughty Tubby
We are in for two shocks though, we were so looking forward to spending time with William again, William was a rippa Russian Blue cat. Sadly he had a heart attack a couple of weeks before we came down and we really did miss him.
Now when we arrived we discovered this pair, Squeek and Anchor
And the chooks aaaannnnnndddddd fresh cackle berries, wooohooo
A place we have wanted to visit for a good while now and what a dangerous place to visit, cheese tastings and good coffee hmmmm doesn't get any better than that
Yep there is a story but it completely slips my mind though
Got out to see a beautiful sunset
Went back down to Bunker Bay for a look and coffee of course. Cold wet windy and still a nice place to go
Another great place we found, Goanna Cafe, tucked away in the bush, good coffee and if you like homemade Rocky Road, this is the place to go.
They have some little bush trails out back and lots of sculptures hidden in the bush.
Bit further down the road we found the Yalingup Shearing Shed. Lots of good merino wool products and this cutie
Another day, another coffee, this time at The Deck cafe in the Port Geographe Marina.
After coffee we went out onto the marina and watched this dolphin swimming around for about 15 minutes.
Ahh the obligatory selfie
The cafe is up the top of the ramp. There is also a gate at the top of the ramp. The gate at the top of the ramp is open, we walk around looking at the boats, take a selfie and several snaps and it is about to piss down with rain, back to gate at top of ramp, yep gate at top of ramp is not open any more and there is no way out, well unless we want to take a swim that is.
So here we are standing at the now closed gate scratching our head. There is a fella on the other side of said gate talking on his phone and watching us scratching our heads, he also has a grin on his face and finally tells us to push the button. Ah what button????
Well... see that green button, bottom right of pic, yep that button re opens said gate and we escape and just make it back to the car and it bucketed down rain.
We took this pair out onto the lawn and it was funny to watch, they just weren't sure about it but after a while they got into the great outdoors.
Another trip down to the Jetty, last time we walked the jetty, it was the middle of summer and it was freezing cold and blowing a gale, this time it is the middle of winter and a superb calm warm day, go figure
Need to let the chooks out for a run but Tubby has started chasing them around so he is banished to the side yard. Must of decided the pot was a good place to sulk and watch the chooks
I don't even want to know
We were told this place is a must visit, so visit we did. Well worth the visit too. So many yummy yummy goodies in here and great people, good coffee, a delicious mushroom, 3 cheese and spinach pie and a yummy apple pie type thingy with big gobs of caramel in it, a cosy room with the heater going and a magic sign on the door, we loved it.
The body bags were a laugh too
A trip down to a place called Bridgetown but stopped here in Balingup first for a coffee and a catch up with the crazy Dilly Dally's who were also en-route to Bridgetown.
Found this on the way to Bridgetown so stopped in for Diney to have a wander around
Quite a pretty little place is Bridgetown. The best parts though was the magic ride getting down there once we turned off the main roads, some beautiful riding and beautiful scenery. With out doubt the best riding since we have been in WA.
And here is something you rarely see in WA
Another day and this one is a special one. It is our wedding anniversary and we head off to another recommended cafe. Nice ride down and finally found the cafe which is tucked away in the bush. Nice owners, good coffee and a gallery next door with some amazing hand made furniture, but bring a fat wallet.
Happy wedding anniversary angel, love you to the moon and back xxx
Every now and then we pick up a bit of kit that is just so nice, first was our wet weather over gear a couple of years ago, keeps us warm and dry when we need to be warm and dry.
Now a bit over a year ago I got a pair of Forma Boots and they are with out a doubt the best boots I have ever worn. I have ridden for 8 hrs straight and when we get off the bike I am not frantic to get them off. First time ever I can say that about a pair of boots. Walking around in over 30 degrees no drama. Rain hail and sunshine, not a problem. Yep I love these boots.
The motley crew having fun with Squeak and Anchor
Bath time and Tubby is pretty cool with it
But Chilli is a whole different ball game hehehe
"Hang on surely you don't mean me"
"You did mean me, well I am not going to look at you"
Ok this is better, a bath was definitely worth it to get cuddles on the couch
After a wonderful month down in Busselton it is nearly time to play granpa and granma again but a couple of nights with the crazy Dilly Dally's is on the cards.
But what is this, Tigger has been thrown over for the Harley trike and I feel Tigger is not happy hahahaha
Crops are growing well with all the rain and the Canola looks stunning. For our English readers that is Rape seed and our USA readers it is Mustard seed.
Back in 3 Puddles and it is full on. Helping out with the the carport and spending as much time with everyone as we can before we leave again
The time has come to pack our bags with a little bit of help.
In the car to head to Perth, love the ringlets
Now a surprise for us is the crazy Dilly Dally's have come to join us for a bite to eat and to see us off, love you guys
We get our baggage organised and then wait for Pop to arrive back from his holiday.
Then we say goodbye with a wee tear in our eyes
We catch a midnight flight to Sydney and the plan is to have a casual breakfast in the airport. Well that didn't happen, Sydney airport sucks, jumped on the train to Central Station, Central sucks, get on the mountain train to Penrith, caught a taxi out to a cafe we know by the river and finally, several hours after landing we got COFFEEEEEEEEEEEEE and a really nice breaky.
We are now settled in with Diney's mum and starting the next leg of our mad cap adventure
Take care all and until next time, live it to the max
All our love to all, thanks for being a part of our lives xxx
The Gypsies and the motley crew.
