Create a Social Media campaign for Perfect Paws Doggy Day Spa

Perfect Paws is a new doggy day spa business that is opening in the local area. A social media campaign needs to be created that links all of the well-known social media accounts together. A strategy will need to be in place to ensure that the company website gets lots of new bookings when it opens to the public.

The owner, Farida Taylor, has already completed some market research and the audience for her new store is:

  • Adults that are focused on pampering and life's luxuries. They will most likely be employed in well-paid jobs. They will also have a passion for animals and their dogs will be like their children. They will want to know that their dogs will be treated like a family member whilst at the spa. The customer will expect the latest technologies to be used and a high quality finish to any grooming that takes place.

Campaign Expectations:

  • Complete some research into the latest doggy day spa treatments and techniques
  • Investigate price ranges for spa treatments
  • Decide which social media sites you will create material for (maximum of 3):
    • Snap Chat
    • Twitter
    • Instagram
    • YouTube
    • Facebook
    • Other?
  • Looking back at the audience. What will you put on those social media accounts? Ideas:
    • Photographs
    • Quotes
    • Advice
    • Polls / Surveys
    • Deals / Vouchers
    • Videos
    • GIFs
    • Memes
  • Decide what "feel" your campaign will have (inspiration here)
  • Pick a colour scheme for the company

Artefacts to make:

  1. Create a logo for the company
  2. Create a banner (the larger images on most social media sites) for the company
  3. Create one post for each social media account chosen
  4. Develop a list of treatments and their prices - decide the best way to show this information to potential customers

POINTS TO NOTE:

The campaign will be a fluid system. The potential customers should be able to go from the Twitter Account to the Website to the Instagram page and clearly see the brand throughout each page.

CLASSROOM IDEAS:

This embed task will lead into the 8_3_Project so it is important that they work as individuals for this one. They could create mini focus groups within the class to bounce ideas with.
