Pars Equality Center

PARS EQUALITY CENTER

Pars Equality Center achieves its mission primarily by providing extensive social and legal services. Our multi-lingual staff including case managers and attorneys serve the needs of our community by providing a full range of professional social services and legal representation.

As a community-based social and legal services organization, Pars Equality Center is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, dedicated to helping the Iranian-American and other Persian-speaking communities realize their full potential as informed, self-reliant, and responsible members of the American society. Social services anchor the mission of Pars and are an integral component to overcoming many of the barriers faced by newcomers and ensuring self-sufficiency. Recent immigrants often have few or limited resources and need community support in order to establish themselves in this country.

Our Persian-speaking staff can help new arrivals and other low-income families and individuals successfully adjust to living in the United States through a wide and comprehensive set of bilingual social programs such as the following:

  • Provide English as a Second Language (ESL) classes

  • Offer computer training and access to employment resources including job fairs and job placement

  • Assistance navigating the social and medical system

  • Assistance with tax preparation

  • Cross-cultural and cross-generational support and training.
