Coin Storage

Bitcoin & other Alt Coins do NOT have a physical shape like gold coins, silver coins and paper currency that you hold in your hand. Crypto Coins are represented by numbers and letters printed on paper or viewed in a file that are so unique that your crypto coins can be distinguished from other crypto coins. The digital signature viewed in a "Blockchain" can also determine the location of where your coins started and where they went to. This blockchain with your digital signature stored on it is stored on multiple computers by miners who were paid to verify and track where your coins came from and where they were sent.

If someone should find your Crypto Currency and your private key that allows the finder to move your currency to another computer, the blockchain leaves a trail of "Breadcrumbs" on the internet to show where your coins are and who the owner of the account owns the coins.

We know you are the crypto coin owner but you did not just create them, you bought the coins from somewhere and sent them somewhere else for safekeeping. This is one case where "Possession is nine-tenths of the law" does NOT apply. Knowledge of the public key AND the private key means you own the combination of the padlock which unlocks coins and have the right to move them to where you want.

Coin Storage Wallets

There are many types of wallets available and each have their pros and cons. Mobile Phone App, Coin Exchange, Paper Wallet, Cold Storage, Cold Wallet (offline), Hardware Wallet, Ledger USB, SELFKey, Online wallet, Ledger Hardware wallet, TREZOR Hardware wallet, KeepKey Hardware wallet, BitBox Hardware wallet, OpenDime USB stick https://opendime.com/, Cool Wallet Hardware ( coolwallet.io ), Armor Secure Wallet , Paper Wallet, Hot Wallet online, Desktop Wallet and a Web Wallet

None of these storage options help you if you lose your coins or forget where you put the stored hardware device. Loosing both the public & private keys to theft is your least concern if do not know where you hid your coins. Coinsafe is the solution to lost memories and who to contact.

Do a search for "Wallets" and each brand is endorsed by website owners who are PAID to mention or promote a certain brand is a poor recommendation. I am not paid to promote COINSAFE but I do have a bias as I created it.

What I did ...

I downloaded the mycelium app that put a QR code onto my mobile phone. I inserted $20 into a Bitcoin ATM and displayed mycelium QR code to the ATM camera when it asked where I wanted to SEND my bitcoin to. Now my phone has the bitcoin and I set up a Binance account who gave me a Binance Receive QR code and sent my bitcoin from the mycelium QR to the Binance QR. Each transaction charged a small commission to pay for the miner to verify the move, but I stood in front of the Bitcoin ATM and watched the process on my mobile phone Binance App. It happened that quickly.

You can send a Bitcoin Donation to this QR Code and I would be grateful for your contribution.
