Volunteers from the Friends Of... group hav once again been busy on the site as the season dwindles down, taking advantage of the milder weather by carrying out several painting projects in a more cheerful and historically accurate shade of green long associated with the site.

All of the period platform benches have been repaired and painted including lettering on the back panels, as well as the numerous planters on the site and a number of ancillary items such as lamp standards, and been greatly enthused by the positive feedback.

Work will continue in the spring once the picket fencing has been replaced, and the never-ending job of ensuring the station looks its best will continue into the winter with work focussing on the model railway and period waiting room which will be redecorated.
