The station was transformed into Tinseltown in 2010 and the popular Santa Trains used the site as temporary terminus for the following two years before returning to Santon Station; dressed with lights and festive music playing the station also enjoyed rare snowfall imaking for a magical journey for the youngsters on one of the weekends.

With trains connecting with a bus service taking passengers to Castle Rushen where the grotto was set up in the banqueting hall, this experimental service was the first of its kind and repeated in modified form the following year when the grotto was based in the station itself with no involvement from Manx National Heritage.
