Following storm damage towards the end of 2025 it has become necessary to temporarily remove the replica advertisement hoarding at the station while a solution is sought to repair and reinstate it; the Friends Of... group are currently investigating this.

The feature, which was erected in 2023 and completed in time for the Manx Heritage Transport Festival, is kindly sponsored by Bushy's Brewery who advertise on all four large panels; it was erected following nearly a decade of fundraising and planning.

The site of the hoarding will be temporarily fenced across while other fencing is replaced on site, in such a way as fence can be removed at such time as the hoarding can be reinstated.  The volunteers are optimistic that a solution can be found as soon as possible.
