On January 20th, I went to a trip to Koh Larn island hosted by Wells Hiking Club. As a person who loves going to beach, I was excited to participate in the trip with my friends. We left school in the early morning and arrived to Koh Larn island by riding on a boat after reaching Pattaya. Unlike my expectation, the beach was very clean and peaceful. Therefore, my plan to swim for a short period changed to spending a long time in the beach swimming and snorkeling.
Because it was my first time swimming in the beach after 5 years and I haven't been swimming for a while, I was afraid if I can swim well in the beach and enjoy swimming in a hot and sunny weather. Also, I was shocked by the taste of the ocean as it was very salty. Despite the concerns salty ocean water taste, could go into the beach without fear and have fun with my friends. I recalled the swimming skills I acquired in primary school to swim through different areas in the beach. I could also see many fish inside the ocean through the snorkeling goggles. As swimming is an exercise which require a lot of energy, I felt really tired after swimming. However, I was glad I joined the trip because swimming and having fun at the beach with friends was a great and memorable time. I realized that doing activities with friends is a good idea to have fun and burn energy at the same time. I also found a new interest in swimming because it I found out that it is an efficient way to exercise for a person who doesn't play many sports or go to gym. I would like to develop this skill further during the times I stay in Thailand!
