FULL HISTORY

INTRODUCTION

Kahina is the Monazaian first-mate of the Cleopatra. She was one of the first to be recruited by John Foster to aid in his goal to tackle the crime of the universe.

CHILDHOOD

Kahina was raised by her aunt, Anastasia, on her home-world of Monaza (where her aunt was queen). Her mother, Tabitha was exiled when Kahina was 3, for the act of falling in love with the man she reproduced with. Monaza is an all female planet, men are used for reproducing only, their people are not permitted to have relationships of any kind with men- it is considered a traitorous crime. Kahina was brought up with these beliefs and believed her mother to be a traitor.

JOINING THE CLEOPATRA

Kahina met John Foster and Sapphire, when they crashed landed on Monaza- the people were wary of John and kept their distance/limited contact as they aided his and Sapphire's recovery.

Despite this, John was still insistent on asking for their help in fighting bandits who were attacking a small colony on a nearby moon. The Monazaians refused to aid a man.

Kahina however, decided to aid John and Sapphire in their battle. It formed the beginnings of a friendship, particularly between her and John. It led Kahina to question everything she had been raised with and her aunt's views on men.

Upon returning to Monaza, Kahina argued with her aunt, defending her choice to aid John and openly questioning her outdated views. Especially whether friendship with men was such a bad thing. This led to her banishment from Monaza and John offering her a new home on the Cleopatra. Kahina accepted.
