INTRODUCTION

Ishani is the analytical doctor of the Cleopatra. She comes from the ancient Amari-Kamili faction of the Amari race, who broke apart after the civil war. Ishani's race was on the winning side, which has led to tension with her crew-mate, Kori.

CHILDHOOD

Ishani was born into an upper class family, with her parents Kei and Iris. Unlike the Hehewuti side of the Amari, the Amari-Kamili's fates are predetermined and there is little choice for their career decisions. Ishani's fate was decided to be a doctor.

Ishani was raised to believe her race was of a higher class to others, the Amari-Kamili were more noble as they have existed long before others and live much longer than even the likes of humans. At the time, Ishani didn't question this, to her this was a normal life. However, she did have some doubts about assuming her race was superior. surely all life was important?

THE CLEOPATRA

Ishani always had a passion to explore the stars, and an opportunity presented itself when the Cleopatra arrived on her home-world. Their captain, John Foster was gravely injured. Offering her skills, Ishani saved his life. John learned of her desires to explore the universe, offering her a place on his ship in return for saving his life. Ishani accepted.

Ishani like others in the Amari line has a long life span and natural healing abilities (these abilities can vary between Amari, each having something unique to them).
