Magazine Cover

This Magazine cover was taken and designed by me on my own time. I was inspired by the viral “Vogue challenge” in 2020. I decided for my subject matter to be my current roommate because I wanted to share her unique sense of fashion. I used the official vogue magazine dimensions and told the subject how to pose in front of a colorful tapestry we had. After the photo was taken, I upped the saturation, lowered the white point, and overlaid a subtle pink tint. I then added small and large titles to the magazine but it was difficult to read. To negate this while not blocking out the background completely, I added a transparent back tint behind the words, then gaussian blurred it to make it blend in the background and add the subtleness. I still wanted the subjects head to stand out so I erased any text and background blur that was overlaid.
