Commission

Zach is a Friend I meet online from a friend of a friend through video games. We got to talking outside of games, and we are both artistic. He loves photograph while I'm into digital art. He took this picture of himself looking off into the distance as the sun is setting. He was showing it to me and showing how he upped the exposure and grain to make it brighter and a little retro. Zach wanted me to make an online profile picture for him that he could use on all his social media, and we picked this photo. He wanted cherry blossoms in the background of a bright blur sky. I started by outlining his body and outfit , and color blocking it and shading the larger details. I then made the sky blue and drew some clouds in the background. Between the layer of the person and the background, I added the tree branches with different shades of brown, and then added the cherry blossoms. I went abstract with the flowers, making them splotches of paint and adding some varying levels of pink and purple to them. Zach loves this personalized commission, and I received more commission requests after he showed his friends.
