Windows Touch Typing Software

A huge range of touch typing software is available, both mainstream touch typing software and accessible touch typing software designed specially for students with little or no vision. Below is a short list of some of the better touch typing software that we have experienced, largely for the Windows operating system.

TypeAbility home screen with information about how to use the software.

TypeAbility

TypeAbility works in conjunction with JAWS to provide the most accessible touch typing experience we have found. Students are worked through a series of lessons, learning not only the alphabet and number keys but all of the keys on the keyboard.

TypeAbility is designed to be used without the use of vision, however, also works well for students with low vision due to them not needing to rely on their vision to complete tasks.

As TypeAbility works with JAWS, it is an exclusively Windows product. TypeAbility can be trialled - it can be downloaded and used in its full capacity 15 times before purchase is necessary.
