The Brailliant BI X Series are refreshable Braille displays in 20 and 40 cell variants, that can be connected via USB or bluetooth to a range of different devices such as a tablet, phone or computer. The Brailliant works in conjunction with screen reading technologies (such as JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver) to give access, in Braille, to the materials that appear on the screen of the device. The BI20X and BI40X can also be used as a standalone device to create content as required.
Used in conjunction with a screen reader, the Brailliant has applications in areas such as :
Literacy
Any subject with written materials
Internet research
Access to emails
Creation and consumption of music content (using, for example, Braille Music Editor 2)
The BI20X and BI40X also has a built-in word processor, file manager and calculator.
