Jack and Patrick at the WWR selection event

WWR International Call-Ups

01/05/15 - Congratulations to Jack Perchard and Patrick Marriott who, following successful performances at last weekend's selection event at Holme Pierrepont, have been selected to represent Great Britain in the Senior Wild Water Racing World Championships. Patrick will be paddling C1 and Jack and Patrick C2. Also selected is Jamie Christie, one of our adult members, who will be paddling C2 with his partner from Soar Valley canoe club. The championships will be held in Vienna in late June.

Nene White Water Centre Slalom

11/04/15 - A big well done to all of the Break Out members at the Nene beginners' slalom today. With six K1 men, five K1 women and two C1s we supplied over half the individual competitors, and three out of the five teams. There were some very good results - 1st, 2nd and 4th places in the team event, and two promotions in the men's K1M class - congratulations to Ian Hollingworth and Heath Simpson who are now promoted to Division 3 of the national league.

There were also some great runs from Emma and Kerry Christie, Zara Montgomery. Jo Gutteridge, Ollie Row, Toby Green, Tom Perchard and Ben Johnson with Emma missing out on promotion by a whisker. Well done to Jane Johnson in her first slalom. We were also honoured to see a first appearance in the C1 class by Jamie!

Thank you to all the parents for your help with loading the trailer and for providing support from the bank during the competition.

This is an outstanding achievement, and the best ever result for a Break Out Canoe Club member in canoe slalom. Well done Patrick!
