Local River Levels

The River Soar at Littlethorpe - at a height of around 1.8 the fields will be flooded at  Jubilee Park.

The River Derwent at Matlock - At a height of 0.65m the river is at a good level - with 'Killer' being covered. At lower levels the run down from Darley Bridge can be shallow - particularly over the rapids at Matlock Bridge. At 1.25 egress is impossible at the steps below the slalom course, and there is no egress 'river left'. At a level of 0.35-0.45, 'Killer' is an obstacle; however the site is still good for slalom training, with good surfing waves developing on the lower section.

The River Trent above Swarkestone - At a height of 1.00m the river is at a decent level for touring, and the rapids at Swarkestone are good for whitewater training. At higher levels the rapids become washed out.
