There are other species in When Stars Of Fate Fall, but here I'm only listing the ones that are released, that I've talked about in detail in the past, or that are close to being made public.
When Stars Of Fate Fall is a literary fiction series. It combines elements of multiple genres, and focuses heavily on how the characters develop and change over time, along with exploring social, personal, and psychological issues. The overarching theme is control.
Genres that When Stars Of Fate Fall has elements of are: science fiction, horror, thriller, and dystopia. Subgenres include: space opera, speculative evolution, psychological horror, and body horror.
The primary storyline in When Stars Of Fate Fall is made up of four acts: Sturnidae, Extraterrestris/Ep’phiett, Dīvus/Dachklohar, and Pūpus/Archon. When Stars Of Fate Fall may include smaller side-stories that follow other characters and plotlines, told though short stories, novelettes, and novellas.
This page is for all overarching/universe-specific lore.
When Stars Of Fate Fall is often shortened to WSOFF.
The primary storyline in When Stars Of Fate Fall could be anywhere between two and six books.
The main character of When Stars Of Fate Fall is Kalian Zosealria.
When Stars Of Fate Fall originally started out as a The Aurora Cycle fanfic, but quickly turned into something that would, with some editing and extra work, stand on it's own two feet. The Aurora Cycle was written by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff.
Other inspirations include Firefly (2002) and "Bloodchild" by Octavia E. Butler.
How universes work in WSOFF is based on theories commonly used as arguments for why multiple universes could exist (ex. string theory, bubble universes theory). When their universe formed, it got trapped inside another — similar to how you can trap one bubble inside another. The outer universe affects the inner universe. These universes have multiple names, but the primary two are Welkin (inner) and Lacuna (outer).
One of the species that founded MWIU, porvalins, figured out how to jump from Welkin to Lacuna, and vice versa. With the help of other species, they perfected the technique, made it much safer than before, and shared their new technology with other species.
Universe Jumping is one of the fastest forms of space travel that currently exists. One day of continuous travel in Lacuna is equal to 7,142.857 light years traveled in Welkin. For example, it would take 14 days of travel in Lacuna to go from one side of the Milky Way to the other (which is ~100,000 light years across).
Most travel is done via cars, trains, boats, and spaceships. Aircraft have mostly died out with developments in space travel, and shuttles & smaller ships are much more popular choices.

While each species has their own languages, there's a standardized system for how demonyms are made for settlements, moons, planets, and star systems. Originally, it started as a way to figure out demonyms for planets owned by MWIU itself rather than one of the governments in it, but has somewhat spread over time.
The suffixes used were created based on some of the most common sounds in multiple languages, to try and make the demonyms widely pronounceable. Alternate demonyms — and even alternate names — aren't uncommon as not every species is capable of making the same sounds.

Optionally, if a name has multiple parts and one of those is a direction; the direction could be dropped. North Eyox > Eyoxi, Central Dakros > Dakrosite.
Generally, if a name is multiple parts; add the suffix to just the last part of the name. Cyl Nytva > Cyl Nytvian. This can be altered by the rules below.
For star systems, if the name includes "system;" drop it. Athekeora System > Athekeorian, Kainaecur System > Kainaecurian.

Add porva- to any name.
In Vicroren, por- means "people"/"person" and -va- is a sort of catch-all for a preposition or determiner. When combined, porva- means "people/person of" or "people/person of the." For example, Porvalocvicro means "people/person of the summer home" and Porvakhykie means "people/person of Khykie."
