At the very beginning of Jesus' family tree are Adam and Eve. They had a son named Seth. Seth had kids and his kids had kids, and eventually Noah was born. There were a lot of people In the world now, but they weren't choosing to do what God said was right. There were a lot of messy, sinful people.
God was sad because of the bad choices people were making and decided to cover the world with water and start over with one family - Noah and his family. Could Noah be the promised rescuer?
Noah listened to God and built a giant boat for him and his family and animals too. It rained and rained, but Noah and his family trusted God.
God kept his promise to save Noah and his family. God was faithful to Noah and God keeps his promises. But Noah was not the promised rescuer. He had a son named Shem, who is in Jesus' family tree too.
