• Read pages 258-262 in My First Study Bible, or you can read the story of Jonah in the Bible.

Talk About It

• Talk about how God told Jonah to go to Nineveh, but Jonah disobeyed instead.  Talk about what it might have been like inside the big fish.  Jonah sinned by not obeying God and telling the people of Nineveh about God.  Jonah was a messenger, but Jesus is the best messenger of all.  He not only told people about God’s love but showed them how awesome his love is!

Pray About It

• As you pray together as a family, thank God for showing us who he is.  Thank him for loving us so much that even though we may disobey, he still loves us so much.  Thank God for his son Jesus.  That he loves us so much he sent his son Jesus!
