God sees you, cares for you, loves you, forgives you, and teaches you! 

Jesus taught using parables, which are stories to help people understand God. In the Parable of the Lost Sheep (Luke 15), Jesus told a story about a shepherd who had 100 sheep, and he loved all of them. One day, one sheep wandered off and was lost. The shepherd went to find the lost sheep, and was so happy when he found It.

Jesus told this story to teach us that God is our Shepherd. Shepherds take care of their sheep, and God takes care of us and loves us.

Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Psalm 100:3
