Weaving, Tapestry & Felting Workshop

We’re happy to welcome you into our cozy workshop and introduce you to our work. We are the "guardians of the attic" of the big house — a small, bright, and lovely room where one social therapist and five beneficiaries work together. Each day begins with a warm check-in: who’s feeling well, who’s had a tough time — we share it all. Then we begin our creative work. Our workshop activities are diverse. First and foremost, we’d like to share about weaving tapestries. We use wooden frames, handmade by our carpentry workshop, to weave beautiful pieces of textile art. The process is captivating and engaging — from selecting the threads to watching how the colors slowly blend and the image begins to take shape. As you work, it becomes increasingly clear that the final product — a colorful and vibrant tapestry — is truly impressive. These tapestries can be used as table mats, vase stands, or as decorative wall hangings. Beyond their aesthetic value, tapestry weaving offers powerful therapeutic benefits. It develops concentration, patience, and precision. If a thread is woven incorrectly, it must be carefully adjusted, which requires calmness and accurate coordination. This shows how even a seemingly simple task — like weaving — can support the development of important life skills.
