The Kitchen Workshop
A Vital Part of the Social Therapy House Our kitchen is one of the central and most essential workshops of the Social Therapy House. Every day, it provides freshly prepared lunch for 54 beneficiaries. Each day here is filled with activity — we host guests, celebrate holidays, and sometimes simply enjoy a calming conversation over a cup of tea, strengthening our relationships in the process. The workshop resembles a busy beehive. Everyone knows their role — setting the table, chopping vegetables, and preparing meals — all must be done in harmony to ensure a complete and delicious lunch. Then comes cleaning up, washing dishes, putting everything away, and tidying the room. Time and cleanliness are crucial elements of this workshop. Preparing food for dozens of people requires focused, intensive work during the first half of the day — with patience, coordination, and love. The workshop is led by one soul therapist and ivcludes five beneficiaries. Meals are seasonal and diverse. We host many people, so lunch is served in two shifts. What makes this workshop truly special, though, is that everyone in the facility gathers in the kitchen — not only for nourishment, but also for rest, communication, and relaxation. We are happy to see how much our beneficiaries enjoy the meals we prepare and the time they spend together. Beyond daily work activities, most of our beneficiaries also participate in artistic therapy, engage in developmental programs, go on excursions, and visit partner organizations. Our workshop members love everything about this space: their kitchen, their coworkers, their friends — and, most importantly, their progress on the path of personal development. They enjoy helping and caring for each other, which allows everyone to experience the joy of belonging, growth, and happiness. If you wish to contribute to the important work we do, become our friend.
