Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime is part of the soundtrack for the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The instrumentation for the song changes throughout, initially opening with a muted keyboard, which gets joined by a guitar and drums, and ultimately backing vocals. The goal of the song is to reassure the listener that at some point were going to accept and understand what we don't quite have control of yet. I feel this song fits perfectly in the film as the two lovers don't quite understand the situation they've put themselves in, or the emotions they feel for one another.
