Junior State of America (JSA) is a non-partisan youth organization dedicated to building leadership skills, civil debate, and strengthening engagement through volunteering, activism, and regional conventions. What We Do
Our meetings center around relevant topics, ranging from politics, to pop culture, through civil debates and thought talks. Our debates never fail to be lively and full of friendly discourse because of the range of perspectives and political views of our members.
What We Attend
Members of AVHS JSA are encouraged to attend the 3 annual overnight conventions; Fall State (San Jose), Winter Congress (Sacramento), and Spring State (San Jose). Members of JSA from across Northern California attend these conventions. Throughout the year there are also smaller one day conventions hosted at schools throughout our region.
