This project is based on the 75th Anniversary of the evacuation of the Gibraltarians during the Second World War to Tangiers (Morocco), Madeira (Portugal),  London (England), Ballymena (Northern Ireland) and Jamaica. The Installation consists of a dialogue between the physical and poetic memory of the past and the present. Evacuation survivors, their sons and grand  children have told stories which have filtered over the years in their families, giving a more humane view to this important chapter in Gibraltar ’s history which  shaped today’s Gibraltarian identity.

Este proyecto se basa en el 75 aniversario de la evacuación de los gibraltareños durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial a Tánger (Marruecos), Madeira (Portugal), Londres (Inglaterra), Ballymena (Irlanda del Norte) y Jamaica. La instalación consiste en un diálogo entre la memoria física y poética del pasado y el presente. Supervivientes de la evacuación, sus hijos y nietos han contado historias que se han filtrado a lo largo de los años en sus familias, dando una visión más humana a este importante capítulo en la historia de Gibraltar que ha moldeado la identidad gibraltareña actual.
