The Queen’s Cinema was one of Gibraltar's cultural meeting points for many generations of Gibraltarians since the 1950's and especially during the closed frontier years. It has a special place in the hearts of many Gibraltarians and is embedded in the cultural fibre of Gibraltar's collective memory.

The Queen's Cinema was demolished a few years ago and has now become a car park. It questions the price of financial gain or progress over culture and Identity.

El Cine Queen fue uno de los puntos de encuentro culturales de Gibraltar durante muchas generaciones desde la década de 1950, especialmente durante los años de frontera cerrada. Tiene un lugar especial en el corazón de muchos gibraltareños y está arraigado en el tejido cultural de la memoria colectiva de Gibraltar. El Cine Queen fue demolido hace unos años y ahora es un parking de coches. Cuestiona el valor de la ganancia financiera o el progreso sobre la cultura y la identidad.
