AI Everydays: The First 5,000

Technical data:

Images are generated through text-to-image large language models such as DALL-E 2 and Stable Diffusion using various Prompt Generation techniques. The artwork is algorithmically sorted with T-SNE content similarity clustering.

Statement of the artwork

"A.I. Everydays: the First 5000" is a conceptual AI-generated mosaic dataset rendering 5,000 neural realities using text-to-image synthesis engines as a single non-fungible token. The work is a combinatorial exploration of technological motifs, machine-aided aesthetics, and socio-economic patterns conveyed through images made daily using low-code machine-learning tools. Through the artwork, I investigate the value of artificial images by entangling aesthetic acceleration and strategies of price discovery. The piece comments on the speed and magnitude at which individual production, curation, and creativity are advancing with AI tools by appropriating the NFT presentation of the artwork “Everyday: The First 5,000” by Beeple. By shortening the time it took me to generate an artwork of this size, I am interested in speculating on the new production capabilities and impact of generative AI on society.
