Note on Ticket Prices
AHSTS operates as a self-funded school organization. While some adult stipends are covered through student activities in a manner like athletics, others are funded directly by AHSTS, including choreographers and professional musicians.
AHSTS is responsible for covering a wide range of production expenses, including show rights, rentals, set construction materials, paint, costumes, lighting materials, microphone equipment, props, set pieces, and promotional materials. In 2025, AHSTS also partnered with Student Council to replace outdated lighting and sound boards for broader student activity use.
As a nonprofit organization, AHSTS relies entirely on revenue from ticket sales and subscriptions. These funds are reinvested into sustaining and expanding the program. In recent years, rising costs have significantly impacted production expenses. While efforts have been made to keep ticket prices as low as possible, the overall cost of producing shows has increased substantially since 2020.
As a result, a ticket price increase, starting in 2026-27 season is necessary to ensure the continued operation and financial stability of the program.
