Next Episode: TBD, 2026
A tightly-knit group of Terrans, The Familia is unique in that they entered the intergalactic community without direct intervention from The Alfar. Originating as a small-time crime family in 1925, over the course of hundreds of years and a few chance 'acquisitions,' the enterprising family transitioned from rum running on Terra to smuggling Terran paraphernalia off-world. Eventually, they found themselves switching tracks again with the loss of Terra. While most members of the marauding fleet distanced themselves from Propter Terrae’s grasp, The Familia took the opposite approach, ingraining themselves deep within the company and corrupting it from within. Money talks, and who has more than the Terrans printing it.
Varangian Pier Stjarna, meaning 'Sworn Companions of the Stars,' consists of descendants of old Scandinavian seafarers who were abducted by ancient Alfar and left to fend for themselves. These stellar sailors blend their traditions with modern technology to navigate the astral seas, engaging in marauding, trading, and mercenary work.
Founded by descendants of a Propter Terrae prison mining camp, The Onyx Expanse Mining Union is a substantial force paving the way for the fleet through not only asteroids and rough space but also labor rights. The Onyx Ex. is well known for being more of a family than a company.
Once a small group of Terrans from the Midwest with a flair for western wear, the New Frontier Posse has evolved into a nomadic band of freelancers and smugglers. After the fall of Terra, they preserved their frontier spirit by roaming the galaxy, offering "rare" goods and services from the pre-void fall era to those willing to pay. Operating on the fringes of legality, they have carved out a niche exploiting the chaos left in the wake of Terra’s destruction, though their operations frequently clash with authorities of fleet sol, who enforce strict control over remnants of Terran culture and technology. Despite their rugged exterior, they are united by a shared goal: keeping the Terran legacy alive, even if it’s one bootleg artifact at a time.
Propter Terrae was once the single largest organized group of Terrans in the galaxy. However following the Voidfall incident the corporation went through what it refers to as an era of “restructuring” to “increase lateral liquidity”. Today they are more known as being responsible for maintaining the Galactic Trade Standard currency than for actually producing anything of intrinsic value.
