Convention Band

What is the Convention Band?

The Convention Band is made up of attendees coming from all over the country to form a band. This band rehearses daily during the Convention with a guest conductor and performs on the last day of the Convention. Rehearsals are generally 3 hours each day.  To perform with the Convention Band, you must be a member of the ACB or be using one of a member band four (4) spots. If you wish to participate in the Convention Band, fill out that section of your registration form providing instrument(s) and part preferences. Guest registrants are not able to participate in the Convention Band, but they may listen to rehearsals.

• Convention Band registration closes March 1, 2026, or when cap is reached.

• The Convention Band has a cap of 110 Musicians, and some sections may need to be limited.

• 8:30 AM - Convention Band Seating

• 9AM – 12 PM - Convention Band Rehearsal

Friday, April 17

• 9AM – 12 PM - Convention Band Rehearsal

Saturday, April 18

• 9AM – 12 PM - Convention Band Dress Rehearsal

• 8:00 PM - Convention Band Concert

Concert Attire for Musicians

• White tops, black skirts/slacks, black socks (or black/natural hose), black shoes 

Other Information

• Music will be distributed about a week after registration closes for those pieces for which we have obtained permission to distribute electronically.
