This month, some of our scouts joined the Order of the Arrow, and had to complete an Induction ceremony. While the induction is shrouded in secrecy, It was very difficult, and we all met new people and had valuable independent experiences. There was a very violent rain storm, and there was a tornado that touched down nearby, so we all had to shelter in the cafeteria. Congratulations to the new OA members, Me, Pruitt Moore, Collin Neville, and Luke Warren.
Also, this month, the troop went on a hike up Mount Monadnock. We hiked about 10 miles from the Nipmuc site at Wanocksett, all the way to the summit, and back down. At night, Asher and Hollis helped lead a campfire, and everyone was able to watch the night sky, due to the minimal light pollution on the mountain. The weather was amazing, and everyone had fun.
