This month, the Troop went to the first Catamount Lodge Camporee!
This was a very fun camping experience, where every Troop under Catamount Lodge went to Treasure Valley. While we were there, we had a lot of fun playing basketball, 9 square, talking to other Scouts, and many more activities that were there! After it started raining, we all went back to the site, and some Scouts played a very intense game of Uno.
This month, the Troop went to the Dudley Gendron to serve brunch for Mother's Day! Everyone there was very nice, and everyone enjoyed themselves.
For Memorial Day, the Troop put up 100 flags on the town common. We have also done this for the past few years with the Lions Club to show honor to the soldiers who lived in Sutton who died at war.
The following Monday, we continued the yearly tradition of walking down Boston Road in the parade. However, this year was different than most, because we did not carry the flag due to the weather. However it was very fun, and we marched to the beat of the drums that the high school band in front of us was playing. At the end of the parade, there was a large ceremony with multiple veterans who came forward to speak, and they fired a ceremonial cannon!
