This month, many of our Scouts volunteered their time to help clean up the town. The Troop walked down Putnam Hill Road near Tucker Pond, and picked up trash. Later, the Guerin family picked up two trash bags full later on Winwood Road. All of our contributions to the town are very important, and was much appreciated by the people on the street.
This month, we went to Buck Hill! Only a few scouts attended, but it was very fun. At the campout there was a hike, and the dinner was very good. There was a very bizzare dessert, which featured a cinnamon roll inside of a orange. All in all, scouts had a lot of fun camping.
This month, Isaac worked on his eagle project! Our troop was assigned to dig out a 2 inch trench around the parking lot of the Sutton Senior Center, so that he could make a walking path for the elderly. Almost the whole troop showed up, and even some people that he invited through his Instagram. We finished on time, and there were plenty of snacks as well! Congratulations to him for a great start to his project, as eagle projects are one of the most difficult aspects of scouts.
This month, the Troop had a Court of Honor! Here, all the scouts are awarded the merit badges, awards, and rank that they have achieved. At this one, 5 scouts received merit badges, 2 received awards, and 10 scouts advanced in rank! Also, thank you to AJ for being the M.C!
