How might we reimagine/change how we get around to support sustainability?
Encourage people to use public transit and walk instead of private cars.
Why Should we take the TTC instead of driving?
-Reduces emissions
-No traffic
-Efficient
-Cheaper
-Safe
-Accessible
Way too many people use private cars very often and it releases emissions into the air. There are other options that we should promote for people to use. This would benefit both us and our environment.
Our mission is to provide the UTS community with fun activities and places around Toronto while teaching them basic transit skills. We support this alternative because it veers away from private cars, a top contributor in global warming. We hope our project has provided you with an easy-to-use sustainable alternative.

Below is some information about how this problem is manifesting in world, and some real-world examples.
Nowadays, our transportation systems contribute to nearly 30% of the GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions in Canada. In our developing society, this can pose a huge threat to our numbers in the coming years, which is why this is such a pressing issue.
Another way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is electric cars. Compared to regular cars, they are far more energy efficient, the batteries last longer and are recyclable, and release less air pollutants. However, it is hard to get everyone to get a more expensive vehicle. There also aren't enough charging points in some regions. Using public transit is an easy option that everyone can use.
