F2 Change-Makers: Alex S. Jibril Z. John D. Lukas O.
We plan to make and post posters around the school in strategic areas where the poster may be relevant. We will also create a video and email listing easy and quick things people can do daily to take climate action.
There is a huge crisis going on right now but not many people are taking enough action as they should. This campaign aims to teach people around the school (including us!) what easy and simple things they can do, which benefits the environment.
Our campaign will serve the UTS community by teaching them how easy it is to take small but important climate change action. People who decide to take action will feel much better about themselves now that they know they are helping the climate.
Find these around the school! They show an important climate change fact and how you can take action to prevent the statistic from getting worse.
Find this near the learning stairs and the Multi-Purpose room!
Find this near the bathrooms or in the halls!
Find this near the printers or in the halls!
We sent this email out, listing small, daily actions people can take to prevent climate disaster.
URGENT CLIMATE ACTION IS NEEDED TO SAVE THE WORLD
Hi UTS, we are a group of F2s, part of the F2 sustainability project working on breaking barriers to common sustainability practices
Did you know that, by the middle of this century, an estimated 30%-50% of the species on Earth are going to disappear due to climate change?
BUT DON’T WORRY…
You can help make a difference. You can do some of these easy climate actions to help :
Save unused food for later, and don’t buy food you won’t eat. Take less than you might think you need.
If you spill something, clean it up with a reusable cloth, instead of paper towels which are made from cutting down trees.
Buy only 3 new articles of clothing a year
Make sure you save water, maybe by taking shorter showers
Don’t throw your notes away, recycle the paper
Stay tuned as we will be posting interesting and informative posters around the school
