Reduce the amount of people who do not correctly dispose of materials in garbage bins or recycling bins.
This project is one that we are interested in because incorrectly disposing of materials causes them to be placed in the wrong places, causing damage to the environment.
This benefits UTS because by disposing of material in the correct places, it reduces the impact on the environment.

After you recycle, sometimes, people and machines will sort the materials into groups, where it is then compacted and shipped to companies to manufacture. But sometimes, the story isn't so perfect.
This produces even more pollution from travel. Recycling from Canada may even go to the USA to get recycled.
Even though this is illegal, this often happens. We sometimes ship our recycling to developing countries, where it gets lit on fire for convenience.
Microorganisms will break down the organic material in the compost into the smallest parts, so plants can absorb these nutrients.
Most E-waste gets sent to landfills and sometimes gets burned, which releases harmful chemicals into our air. An animal may accidentally eat a battery. Even if a landfill isn't lit on fire, the batteries may still emit harmful chemicals, especially while being moved. Fossil fuels may be a major source of climate change, but they don't contribute to all parts of it.
Join us in the change-making! Let's work together to support sustainable development in this area.
The video will play every 15 minutes. The rest of the time, there will be a sorting guide.
Same as left
This video may play during one of our assemblies to let everyone know of its existence.
Below is some information about how this problem is manifesting in world, and some real-world examples.
This guide will be featured at the end of the video for 10 minutes, and will loop itself back to the start of video.
Your trash may get burned in these countries, if they have no place to put the trash.
Objects meant to be in the recycling bin may end up in processes meant for garbage.
Ex. Coffee Cups, etc.
