Murray S. Bartlett 

Murray S. Bartlett was an American educator who served as President of the University of the Philippines from 1911 to 1915. He contributed in strengthening UP’s academic programs and policies, building on the foundations of the university’s early years. Bartlett advocated for UP to be supported by Filipinos and represent their interests, envisioning  a “University for the Filipino.”
