Bienvenido Ma. Gonzalez

Bienvenido Maria Gonzalez was born on November 22, 1893 and died on December 30, 1953. He was an assistant professor of animal husbandry who earned tenure within six years and also served as dean of the UP College of Agriculture in 1928 before he became the president of the University of the Philippines. He served for two terms from 1939-1943 and 1945-1951, where he encouraged the establishment of the UP College of Nursing with Juan Nakpil and Ramon Tapales and conceived the UP Carilllon in 1940.
