General Admission Requirements
General Admission Requirements:
For MHPEd and MAHPEd:
A 4-year baccalaureate degree in health profession from the University of the Philippines or other approved university or tertiary institution considered acceptable by UPM.
Teaching and/or administrative experience or at least two years in an institution responsible for the teaching of health personnel.
Good scholastic record from any recognized institution of higher learning
For all applicants from countries where English is not the medium of instruction: Certificate from the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (i.e. Band 6) OR Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) (i.e. at least 550 for written test, 173 for computerized test, and 70 for internet-based test).
Duly accomplished application forms (available for download at http://ngohs.upm.edu.ph/) with the minimum National Graduate Office for the Health Sciences (NGOHS) requirements
For DrHPEd:
Be a Master’s degree holder in any health science or related field, from a recognized institution. Applicants with the Doctor of Medicine degree with valid professional license can be admitted directly to the program by virtue of CHED Resolution 038-2001.
Minimum of 3 years in a health professions education setting as a faculty member, administrator, researcher, consultant, clinician, training officer, or human resource complement. Copy of official appointment is required.
Copy of at least one published paper where applicant is the primary author or co-author in refereed journals recognized by UP in the recent 5 years.
Submit a capsule dissertation proposal not exceeding five pages.
For applicants who are not graduates of MHPEd, MAHPEd, or any higher education-related master’s degree, satisfactory completion of prerequisite courses, namely, HP 201 and HP 221. Applicants can be admitted as non-degree students at NTTCHP until completion of said courses.
