The Intellectual Property and Data Management of the National Teacher Training Center for the Health Professions was created to develop and implement policies for the college that are related to intellectual property, data privacy and information management aligned with national and institutional policies.
a. Intellectual property and it's creation, protection and commercialization
b. Data Protection, Standardization of collection processes, utilization and storage
c. Information as the merging of IP and Data. IPDM shall ensure correctness, accuracy and timeliness of information, its adherence to IP and Data privacy policies as well as its efficient, targeted and effective dissemination, storage and documentation.
The office shall be composed of the following:
IPDM Chair
-IPDM Chair functions to:
a. Work with the Quality Assurance Office to determine which works, products, innovations of NTTCHP faculty, students, REPS and Administrative Staff have the potential to claim Intellectual Property rights;
b. Serve as College Data Privacy Officer who will ensure protection of intellectual property rights and propose guidelines for the learning resources management;
c. Serve as ISO officer of the College, who will analyze the College’s risks and opportunities, and discuss plans to address these ROAs, check official forms andstandard operating procedures;
d. Plan activities to encourage NTTCHP personnel and students to create innovative works/outputs
e. Supervise the College’s designated Information Officer.
IPDM Staff
-The OIPDM Staff assists the OIPDM Chair in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating activities related to intellectual property, data privacy, and information management. The OIPDM Staff functions to:
a. Prepare minutes of meetings and document all activities of OIPDM.
b. Coordinate with the UPM Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO), Information Management Service (IMS), and the Legal Office for assistance in implementing the IPDM plans.
c. Perform all administrative tasks related to IPDM activities.
d. Monitor and maintain the NTTCHP official email account and its cloud storage.
The IPDM shall conduct yearly planning and regular monthly meetings to ensure its alignment and relevance with the vision, mission and goals of the College and the University.
