Student Council

Last 23 January 2020, an election was held to create the first interim set of officers of the NTTCHP Student Council. The NTTCHP SC represents the NTTCHP student body in the UP Manila University Student Council (USC). It serves to uphold the interests of the students of NTTCHP, unify the ranks of all NTTCHP students and coordinate with the University and CSCs of UP Manila.

In celebration of the 45th founding anniversary of the NTTCHP, Dean Melflor A. Atienza administered the oath of office of the founding members of the University Student Council. The NTTCHP is the first graduate students university council recognized by UP Manila Office of Student Affairs. The USC Adviser is Professor Emely D. Dicolen. The council and adviser started their term of office on 27 January 2020.

The NTTCHP SC serves as an active forum for students' ideas, opinions, and sentiments. It strives to uphold the ideals of the University that are geared towards ensuring a well-rounded intellectual, social, cultural, and physical development of every student of NTTCHP. It seeks to create transformative educational changes that will promote academic excellence, and academic freedom relevant to society. It upholds a truly representative, autonomous, and democratic student council, composed of currently enrolled students who were elected following the guidelines posted in the UP Manila Student handbook election code. It shall have an Executive Committee, composed of a Chairperson, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and a PRO.

The members of the SC are to be elected every academic year, during the month of April in accordance with the rules promulgated by the University Electoral Board and provisions of the University Election Code. The NTTCHP Student Council Constitution is in the process of being drafted and will undergo reviews by the different stakeholders.
