3-by-3 

To support Carlson School students who want to build their resume and expand their professional network, the Student Life and Career Design Team (SLCD) in cooperation with the Alumni Relations Office, has launched the 3-by-3 Informational Interview Program for Summer 2023. 

Named for the goal of completing three informational interviews during the three months of summer, students who successfully complete the program are eligible to add their 3-by-3 program participation onto their resume.  

Informational interviews are a way to develop skills and confidence in building relationships with professionals. They are a meaningful way to explore career paths and organizations, expand your professional network, and build skills in vulnerability. 

To meet the learning outcomes of this program, students will complete 3 virtual informational interviews  (Zoom, GoogleHangouts, Facetime,  Phone) and 1 virtual meeting with an SLCD Career Coach by the assignment deadlines. At least two of your informational interviews should be conducted with individuals who are "new to you." Students may conduct one interview with a family member or peer who has relevant experience to your educational or career goals.
