4th Grade Math & Science
We are in the final quarter and there is so much coming up. The students have worked hard to persevere through problem solving and show "stick-to-it-iv-ness" when problems get challenging. It has been amazing to see these curious learners grow and mature both as learners and as young ladies and young men. Our teams have come together and I am certain they are ready to show what they know. Please be mindful of the calendar events coming up and assure students are getting all the rest and brain power needed to be successful. Your patience, support and love at home make all the difference. Let's enjoy the last part of the year and end with feeling successful and proud.

Click the link to watch a tutorial on Multi-Digit Multiplication Strategies that will be used in class. This is a great way to understand how to help your child extend what they know about basic multiplicaiton and begin to understand how strategies work. Students should be using strategies that make sense to them and should not be guided to the standard algorithm too soon. This video is so helpful in supporting you as parents with encouraging your child to make sense and use strategies different from how you learned in your elementary days. Go with what they know!
