Dear Parents and families,
Welcome to December! Below you will find a list of important dates.
6th: Buffalo HERD Meeting 6pm-7pm @ ⅘ Grade Center
11th: “Notes of the Season”
19th: Last day of the 9 weeks
Last day before WInter Break
22-Jan 5th: Winter Break
Jan 6th:- Students Return
We have three weeks until Winter break, and we have a lot to get through. It is so important that your child is present. If not, it is their responsibility to complete the work that they missed. Most likely, that will need to be done at home.
In math, we will begin Chapter 5: Dividing by 1-Digit. This week's fact fluency will focus on dividing by 4. An assessment will be given on Friday. The spiral review for homework (Q2.7) will be passed on Monday. Please make sure your child is completing the assignments in pencil, not pen. If it is turned in completed in pen, they will be given another one to complete.
In science, we will begin our next chapter, Life Cycles of Plants and Animals. The children will be assigned an at home 3-D Flower project this week. I will go over the details and expectations of the project. It will be due no later than Friday, December 19th. A letter detailing the project will be sent home. If you should have any questions after reading it, please reach out to me. I am looking forward to seeing how creative the children will be.
If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I wish you all a productive week!
My classroom library link is listed below. If the kiddos finish their work and do not have a book with them, they can select one from my library.
