Caputo's Crafty Campers
Dear Parents and families,
Welcome to another week of learning, laughter, and love! We have another busy week ahead of us.
If you are planning on making a donation the "coffee and tea" basket, please make sure your donation is in by Tuesday, September 30th. As mentioned before, do not forget to include your receipt for PI time.
A notice will be coming home on Monday regarding supporting the high school football team and homecoming this Friday. The children will be able to wear their green and gold to show their support. They must adhere to school policy regarding dress code. No rips in pants, shorts must be at least fingertip in length. and no spaghetti straps for the girls. They must wear tennis shoes. Once you receive the letter, if you have questions, please reach out.
This is a kind reminder that your child's snack should be healthy and be able to be eaten with their fingers. Granola bars, fruit, veggies, goldfish crackers are just a few suggestions. If you could also remind them that it is a snack. They should not be grazing all day. If they are hungry when you drop them off, encourage them to grab some breakfast before coming to class. It is free.
In math, we will continue with Ch. 2: Multiplying a multi-digit number by a single digit. Multip;ying using the distributive property, expanded form, and partial products will comprise the math lessons for the week. This week's homework will be passed out on Monday. As always, the children have the option of completing it nightly and turning it in each day, or waiting and turning it in on Friday. Multiplying by 7 will be the fact practice for the week.
In science, we will use Monday and Tuesday to review our Earth in Space chapter. The students will complete the assessment on Wednesday. They have a study guide that they should be reviewing nightly. It is a bright green paper and should be in the science pocket in their binder.
If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I wish you all a productive week!
My classroom library link is listed below. If the kiddos finish their work and do not have a book with them, they can select one from my library.
