Hopefully, everyone has adjusted to the time change. I know it took me most of the week!
If you have not sent in a picture of a family member that has or is currently serving in the military, you still have time. Please send them in by Tuesday. We would like our "Wall of Honor" to be filled in time for the Veteran's visit on Wednesday.
This is a kind reminder regarding school uniform policy. With the cooler weather, some of the students may want to wear a long sleeve shirt under their shirt. Please remember that the shirt must be the same color of the school shirt or white. The same goes for girls wanting to wear tights under their skirts or shorts. Outerwear must be school approved as well. If you should have any questions, please reach out, or refer to the handbook.
In math, we will begin Chapter 4: Division Strategies. This week's fact fluency will focus on dividing by 2. An assessment will be given on Friday. The spiral review for homework will be passed on Monday. Please make sure your child is completing the assignments in pencil, not pen. If it is turned in completed in pen, they will be given another one to complete.
In science, we will review Monday and Tuesday for Wednesday's assessment on Chapter 3: Earth's Processes and Resources. I informed the kiddos that they should be reviewing their study guide (bright yellow). In addition, the children will finish their rocks and minerals flip book, which will be used as a project grade. Thursday, we will start Chapter 4: Plant and Animal Life Cycles.
If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I wish you all a productive week!
My classroom library link is listed below. If the kiddos finish their work and do not have a book with them, they can select one from my library.
