Education and training courses designated by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare
This is a system under which eligible recipients who have met certain criteria specified by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) are allowed to receive benefits equivalent to a part of the admission fee and tuition paid to a university (the amount of benefits varies depending on the eligibility for receiving benefits) upon completion of a course or concentration (to obtain a master's degree) designated by the university.
Courses designated for the General Education and Training Benefits (Ippan kyoikukunren kyufu koza 一般教育訓練給付講座)
For an overview of the education and training benefits for the General Education and Training, please refer to the brochure issued by HelloWork or contact the HelloWork office with jurisdiction over the area of your residence.
■ How to complete the procedures for the General Education and Training Benefits System
*If you do not complete the procedures by the prescribed date, you will not be eligible for the system.
Please go to the nearest HelloWork office to your residence and obtain an “*Answer Form regarding Payment Requirements for the Education and Training Benefits(kyoiku kunren kyufukin sikyu yoken kaitosho 教育訓練給付金支給要件回答書).”
(Note) For the commencement date of the course, please enter the date of admission, i.e. April 1, 2024 for spring admission/October 1, 2024 for fall admission.
Please submit a copy of “① Answer Form regarding Payment Requirements for the Education and Training Benefits” to the Education Affairs Section for Graduate Schools . If you are unable to submit it at the Education Affairs Section for Graduate Schools, please send it by postal mail or email the PDF data or image data of the Answer Form as an attachment to the email address of the Education Affairs Section for Graduate Schools(mldaig@toyo.jp).
[Deadline for submission] Spring admission: Saturday, April 27/Fall admission: Saturday, October 19
Upon the completion of a master's program,a “② Certificate of Completion of Education and Training” and an “③ Application for Payment of Education and Training Benefits(kyoiku kunren kyufukin sikyu shinseisho 教育訓練給付金支給申請書)” will be issued.
Please submit the above ② and ③ to the nearest HelloWork office to your residence.
Please complete the procedures within one month after the completion of the master's program.Upon the completion of the procedures, the benefits will be transferred to your designated bank account.

Course of Public-Private Partnership, Graduate School of Economics (applicable for students entering in and after the fall of AY2020)

Regarding the post admission procedure, please submit the “Certificate of Eligibility (jukyusikakushasho 受給資格者証)(copy)” issued by HelloWork to the Education Affairs Section for Graduate Schools by Saturday, April 27 (or Saturday, October 19 for fall admission of Course of Public-Private Partnership of Graduate School of Economics).If you are unable to submit it at the office in charge, please send it by postal mail or email the PDF data or image data of the Answer Form as an attachment to the email address of the Education Affairs Section for Graduate Schools(mldaig@toyo.jp).
