Faculty members of each graduate school and course are expected to operate the Common Study Room on their own responsibility and initiative.
※The Common Study Room for graduate students is a place for graduate students to concentrate on their studies. In order to ensure that everyone can use the room comfortably, please refrain from the prohibitions below.
If it is determined that a Common Study Room is unable to be managed properly and independently due to reasons such as non-compliance with prohibitions, scattered packages, or unauthorized use of the room, the Common Study Room may be closed.
Who can use Common Study Room?
Current graduate students enrolled in a regular course (including those on leave of absence) who belong to the Graduate School of its Common Study Room.
※Excluding students of other graduate schools, graduates, withdrawn students, dismissed students, non-matriculated students, research students, international trainees, prospective students, undergraduate students

Every day: 8:00~22:45 (Main Gate of Hakusan Campus closes at 22:00)
※On Sundays, public holidays and school holidays, it is also available to use.

Methods of use
The door is an auto-locking type. Please swipe your student ID card into the card reader machine next to the door, and then enter the room.
When you leave the room, be sure to turn off the switches of lights and an air conditioner.

Cleaning up
〇There are not trash cans in the room. Please use trash cans in the hallway.
〇Keep the room clean and tidy.
〇Regular cleaning will be conducted twice a year (during summer break and spring break) A vacuum cleaner is available from the Education Affairs Section for Graduate Schools office as needed.
〇 Allowing persons other than those listed in the ※ of the person subject to the use to enter the room.
〇 Occupy seats
※You can use only one seat per person only while you are using the room.
〇 Leave your personal belongings and trash unattended
※If Toyo University determines that those things are hindrance to the operation of the room, they will be disposed of. Please keep your personal belongings in your personal locker.)
〇 Bring in or using electronical appliances or fire that are not necessary for studying
※Portable cassette stoves, electronic stove, microwave ovens, refrigerator, coffee makers, etc.
〇 Eat, drink (Hydration is allowed.)
〇 Talk on mobile phones, Zoom, or take online classes, etc.
〇 Make noise or talk loudly. (※Be considerate of around you when you use devices which make sounds such as earphones, keyboards, calculators and etc.)
〇 Smoke
〇 Bring in hazardous materials.
〇 Any other acts that deface or damage the equipment installed in the room or cause inconvenience to others.
〇 Leave your valuables or belongings unattended due to the risk of theft.

Lockers are located in the Common Study Rooms of each Graduate School.

Graduate students in regular courses at Hakusan Campus (Students registered absence from the school are also included.)

How to use the lockers

Only one designated location per student can be used.
Locks are not equipped. (*If you deem it necessary, please prepare your own padlock.)
Strictly prohibited to lend your locker to other students.
Available only during the period you are enrolled at Toyo University.
Allocation are handled by the EAS for GS and it will be posted at each Common Study Room in Building 8. on April 1st of each academic year (may vary depending on the day of the week).
※No need to submit application form.
In principle, the allocation for current students is also changed every academic year, so please move as soon as the new allocation is announced.
A change of locker is possible. However, please make sure to obtain permission from your Course Chair and notify the EAS for GS office.
If you complete, withdraw or are expelled from the university during the period when lockers are available, please remove the items from the locker as soon as possible.
Notes
Users are responsible for the proper management of their own property. The university will not be held responsible for any disadvantages incurred by users while using lockers.
The University may prohibit the use of lockers if it determines that they are not being used in an appropriate manner. In the event of unauthorized or inappropriate use, the lock will be broken by the EAS for GS, and the items inside will be removed and disposed of.
If a shelf in a locker is lost or a locker is damaged, the user will be reimbursed for the actual cost of repair or other expenses incurred.
Faculty and staff may inspect lockers to ensure proper management
If there is any luggage in an unassigned or unused locker, that luggage may be removed and disposed of.
