Dr. Fatima Fazalullasha is a Family Medicine Physician in Toronto, Ontario with clinical and research interests in metabolic health, healthy aging, nutrition, AI and wearables in medicine, and Post-COVID-19 conditions. She is also very passionate about innovation in medical education.
In addition to her clinical practice in Toronto, she was a physician lead on the Toronto Public Health COVID-19 Emergency Response Team, working with institutional stakeholders on multidisciplinary teams to support policy development and outbreak management across the city in 150+ Long-Term Care and Retirement Homes, and also in child and youth settings. She recently collaborated with Cochrane Canada and the McMaster GRADE Centre to develop the first Canadian Guidelines for Post-COVID-19 Conditions, a pivotal project funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada to provide clinicians, decision-makers, policymakers, and the public in Canada with detailed guidance to make informed health decisions about Post-COVID-19 conditions.
She completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences degree at McMaster University, her medical degree at the University of Ottawa, and her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Toronto. She also completed advanced training in Artificial Intelligence for Clinician Champions, at the Michener Institute of Education at University Health Network in 2023.
